This performance marked one of my final appearances as FIERA, my drag persona, standing at the threshold of transition—from drag into music. For a special Día de Muertos show at SOMArts, I honored the late Selena Quintanilla with a medley performance. At this point in my career, I was consciously setting the stage for my evolution into a musician, using the platform I had built in drag as a bridge to cross over into sound.
