This image was published in Dazed Magazine, alongside an article written by Brittany Newel about the beauty of San Francisco Nightlife, centering High Fantasy which used to take place at Aunt Charlie’s Lounge every Monday night. This shot was taken after a drag number outside of the original STUD bar. The make up is quintessential “gutter-glam” FIERA fashion. The STUD’s original location was one of the first venues I performed outside of Aunt Charlie’s Lounge. David Glamamore and Juanita More welcomed me into their family with open arms and showered me with opportunities. This look was one of my drag persona’s more conceptual looks, breaking rules and inspiring others to do the same.
